So last night I did the 'official' W4D3 run. It was a lot easier than the first day. I think I need to come up with better running courses to avoid some of the hillier areas in my neighborhood. That and fuel up properly. Sometimes on busy nights I don't get to eat a full meal, and just having a light snack doesn't seem to cut it for me.
Tonight we went to a new place for dinner - Wayback Burgers - So SO delicious. Double bacon cheeseburger with tons of toppings, sans bun. It was so freaking good. onions, jalapenos, pickles.. Mmmm! And I had a lot of energy when I got home. So I took the dog for a nice walk to get up to my 7,000 steps for the day. I could have kept going but it was getting late and I don't like walking by myself at night for too long.
I notice that I'm getting stronger and less jiggly. This morning I was able to do a side plank in yoga that I hadn't really been able to do successfully before. My instructor talked about how it can be challenging, or it can be a struggle. And side planks have always been a struggle, like ridiculously so. Today it was definitely a challenge, but I didn't feel like it was impossible or that I was going to die, like it normally had been.
So Monday starts week 5. I can't believe it! Day 1 is three 5 minute jogging intervals with two 3 minute walking. Then Day 2 is Jog 8 minutes, walk 5, jog 8. But the kicker is Day 3 - no walking intervals! 20 minutes of jogging! Holy crap I hope I can do it! One day and one workout at a time!
