The moment I had been dreading and anticipating. I did W5D3 tonight! My schedule got messed up - had to skip a workout due to the weather, so I didn't want to get behind and mess everything up. So I did went out two nights in a row.
Twenty whole minutes? NO walking intervals? What??!
And I did it! I stopped two times for about 5 seconds while I took a drink of water. I tried to do it while running but I kept hitting my teeth. Graceful, I am not. I mapped it out and it looks like it was about 1.7 miles in 20 minutes. Which is less than 12 minute mile, so I'm super stoked about that. I really think I can do this now! I glanced at the stopwatch and thinking 'oh wow only 5 more minutes left!' When did that happen? Just a few weeks ago, three minutes was HARD. Like I'm gonna pass out hard.. I didn't get the vertigo-ey-ness that I did last time, but then the weather was a LOT nicer. and I remembered my water :)
I can't believe I ran almost 2 miles tonight. And looking back to where I was at week one. And how hard that was. And how I didn't think I could do three minute intervals. I feel so accomplished!
Looking forward to next week, the last two workouts with walking intervals. And I have to plan out more routes. I'm totally winging it lately!
Working on updating the playlist today. Some songs were really good, and some had to go. They just didn't fit or maybe I just wasn't in the mood. But it really helps having some good music, and it makes it go by quicker. I swear some songs come on and I just want to dance down the road!
