I finished week one of C25K. As I was lacing up, my son (8) asked to join me on my walk. I told him there would be jogging involved. "OK!" He was excited. So now I have a new jogging buddy. He did really good! Hopefully I can convince him to keep joining me and we can do a race together in October.
Maybe it was having him with me, or it was too soon after eating, but I found myself checking the stop watch. A lot. And I started getting crampy in my side. But I had only eaten some coconut oil about 20 minutes prior. It was getting late and I didn't want to wait any longer. Ooops. Next time I'll have it earlier or wait until I'm done.
Either way, it was still fun, and I'm glad my son wanted to get involved. This isn't about losing weight, but fitness, healthy living and making good choices. And we had a great time. I wish we could take the dog, but it's too hard - he's too crazy! And has to stop every 10 feet to smell everything. sheesh.
I started wearing my Disney wrist watch to work. I look at it and it helps keep me motivated! I love any excuse for a trip to Main Street!! :)
